Animated Perspectives
What stories are we telling and what messages might we unintentionally be sending?
Animated Perspectives invites participants to critically examine the role animation plays in shaping culture, identity, and societal narratives. Adapted from a 300-level university course, this program challenges artists to think beyond craft and consider the broader impact of their work.
Grounded in diversity, equity, and inclusion—and informed by critical race theory—this course explores how unconscious bias operates within animation and entertainment media. Through curated screenings, current industry analysis, and guided discussions, participants will develop the tools to become more intentional, informed creators.
This summer, join a community of artists committed to disrupting bias, expanding representation, and reimagining what stories can be told—and who gets to tell them.
